I heard that song (title of blog entry), a few days ago and had started working on a new entry around that as the subject. It didn't really go anywhere, SOOO i'm trying again.
I really am feeling stuck. Unfortuately I'm not 'stuck in the middle' w/ the person I would like to be 'stuck' with!! Those of you who already know what's going on in my world will understand this... to some degree.
'Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right...'
There are things in life that are under our control and things that are not....I have done most of the under controls pertaining to the situation that I can, for now...it's just the not under controls that I just lothe! Societal rules are really making me angry as well...another not under control that I can't stand - but that's for another post I think.
'It's so hard to keep this smile from my face,Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place'
Ya know, you wait your whole life to find the thing you have been looking for - actively or not, and POW...ya can't really do anything to acheive the end result of having that thing in your life. Yes, YES..cryptic..i know. But I am sooo f-ing happy. Even with all the mess that has ensued - I have a permanent grim (grin - inside joke). How can I not be happy - life is finally going to go in the RIGHT direction.
'I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs'
For the first time in my life, I'm not scared of what may happen or if I've made the right decision. I've kept to my gut feeling, my instincts and it's coming to fruition....it's going to take a while, but it's going to happen. Life, real life...not some made up reinactment of what I think I'm supposed to do or the way I'm supposed to be in a relationship/life.
It's rather empowering to know that I am going to truly LIVE my life and be happy - actually knowing it - WOW...w00t!

The Art Worx
(new worx are added at the end of this post)Nature of Sin
-Sharon L Malsed, 2000
(graphics montage, Mac G4, photoshop)
This piece was voted into several shows and received honorable mention in two. :)
Woman on the Verge-Sharon L Malsed
(Graphic Montage, Mac G4, PhotoShop)
Okay, okay, so I was pissed off and in a bad place. Angry?Much?
Electronica Wasp (rave flyer - OC, Ca)-Sharon L Malsed
(graphic montage, Mac G4, PhotoShop)
Layers, upon layers of work!
Blindfold-Sharon L Malsed
(montage, Mac G4, PhotoShop)
This is a layer of the next piece, but I really liked the glow, and seductive - yet sad look the photo has. The colors set it off just right.
Jennifer-Sharon L Malsed
(montage, Mac G4, PhotoShop)
This piece was modeled after a good friend, at the time. She had a real duality to her personality. One part obviously female and the other quite male.
Life 2-Sharon L Malsed
(montage, MacG4, Illustrator)
Hahahahaha...I dig this one. The message is simple and it SO fit the area that I lived in (Laguna Beach). Very materialistic peeps there.
Life-Sharon L Malsed
(montage, Mac G4, Illustrator)
Well, what can I say - not everyone is happy all day! The people that I hang with weren't the most sensitive and I projected that attitude in this one. They really didn't care who they hurt as long as they got what they wanted. Why don't I like So Cal? Hmmm...and why do I actually miss it so much? Things that make ya go hmmm.
Good face, bring it-Sharon L Malsed

Like the photo and deceided to play. Liked her attitude as well, hence...Bring It!!
NPJ-Sharon L Malsed
(montage, Mac G4, Illustrator)
We all should remember those words. And those times.
White Ladyblk/wht pastel (conte)
Actually, I'm not sure what year this was drawn...either 89 or 90. Yes, this was a HS piece...I can't believe it's in such great condition. Yeah me!
I also have a color oil on canvas of this one...I'll add it later with the other acrylics and oils.
Part One.....(of about six)Pastel
This piece is a part of a much larger collective. It has been a work in progress for many years, just because I need a very large wall to work on it...

'Blindfold'was a part of a montage (further down in the posts), but I really liked it as it was. I re-worked it with chalk pastels and it's going to fly to Vegas. Brea will be the 'lucky' owner. Funny, we were talking about selling my art...or rather, why I haven't sold my art. It may be a bit artsy-fartsy, but I don't feel that I can sell my pieces because they are my feelings. Dorky?, Ya kind of, but that's me. I'd rather 'give' my feelings to the people that I love. Blah, Blah, Blah...
(oh, and it's not the best pic...but I will update it.)

Satchel Worx
This is a rockin' bag for Pat-e.
It is totally unusual and one of a kind.
Exterior silver/black sparkle vinyl (black vinyl was not available, unfortuately.)
Interior black and yellow batik w/ skulls.
sure hope Pat-e loves it!!

I
Burn baby burn! Hehe...ANYWAY,
Orange sparkle vinyl w/ disco-ish interior.
I think it's my favorite so far (I'll probably say that a lot).
This bag, along w/ two others are done for Pat-e, as an order for her nail shop in Redlands, Ca - which I have heard is a kickin place to get some TLC!!

This bag is also part of Pat-e's order...but as you can see it's not my usual style. It's kinda, well...boring? Ya, that's it. And hence the name...the Redlands Special. It's a navy blue leather-ish vinyl on the exterior and a swirly lime interior - it's nice. Please don't make me make more of these...it almost pushed me over the blah blah blah edge!!
hehe..don't get me wrong, it's a nice bag if you front a more conservitive exterior. :)

It's late for Mother's Day, but hey..I'll send it out ASAP Mom.
It's bright and cheery and well..kinda obnoxious, but I like it...hope you do too! Love ya Mom.

This bag is for ... ME. Yup, I finally get one!
It is made of White marine quality vinyl (which makes for a great looking and feeling bag, but has stretch issues), with silver webbing. The interior has an interesting surf inspired print in a tough thick nylon. Albacore buttons are used as the trim. The poket under the front flap has a wave to the edge, just for fun. :)

Pink vinyl bag made for So Cal customer
She digs pink...could ya guess?

My first messenger bag. Commissioned for Brea Kelsey....hey look, there she is!!...and the bag too.
